Fall Toddler Time*
"Miss Mary" Is back to lead this popular class that provides a great socialization opportunity for preschoolers (and their caregivers!) Classes are geared for ages 18 months to 3 years old and are limited to 12 children who, with their caregivers, participate in free play, circle time, songs, games, snack and a special project.
Class meets once a week and runs for 10 weeks. Class times available are Tues. & Wed. 9:00am-10:30am. Pre-registration and non-refundable deposits are required. Session Fee: $85 members or $110 non-members. Classes will begin the week of September 14 & 15, 2010.
This program meets the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks Preschool Guidelines:

Language: 1.1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 4.2, 5.2, 6.1
Reading Literature: 8.1 – 8.5, 9.1, 9.2, 10.1, 11.1, 14.1, 15.1, 16.1, 17.1, 18.1
Earth & Space: 1.2
Physics: 3.1, 3.3
Number Sense & Operation: K.N.1 – 4

Tales & Treats*
Cook up a good time with Miss Mary and her puppet helper, Chef Schmutz. Make a treat, sing songs, play games, and read enchanted tales related to the cooking project of the day. Children will learn the art of measuring, pouring, mixing, nutrition, and will, of course, whip up wonderful treats to take home.
Classes are geared for ages 3.5 years and up and are limited to 10 children. Class meets once a week and runs for 10 weeks. Class times available are on Thursday 9:30am-10:30am. Pre-registration and non-refundable deposits are required. Children need to bring their own utensils and aprons. Session Fee: $85 for members or $110 non-members. Classes will begin September 16, 2010.

Little Sprouts Fall Farm and Garden Fun
This is a continuation of our popular summer Little Sprouts program designed for children ages 3 through 10. Each class will feature a different farm and garden theme to be explored through crafts, games, stories and hands-on experiences. The program will be held at the Coonamessett Farm in East Falmouth, a real working farm, and will be led by Miss Lori Lieberman.
Classes will be held on Sundays: September 12, September 19, September 26, October 3 and October 17. All dates are subject to change. Cost per class is $18 for members and $22 for non-members. For further information or to register, please contact Lori directly at 508-564-5624.

Sewing 101*
Sewing 101 with Miss Jo-Ann! This workshop is for students 6 years and older who are interested in learning the basic art of sewing. Together we will learn to thread, knot and safely use a needle. We will also learn to sew on buttons, practice a running or basting stitch and a backstitch.
Date: Saturday, September 25, 2010 1:00pm-3:00pm. Pre-registration and payment required prior to this unique class. Limited to 10 students, $12.00 for members, and $15.00 for non-members. Brownie Girl Scouts are invited to participate for "Stitch It Together" requirements.

Cupcake Design!*
One way or another, kids always end up having their cake and eating it too! Miss Mary shows kids ages 5 and up how to decorate their own cupcake. She will provide a large cupcake, butter frosting and covering fondant for each student. Students will learn basic piping techniques like Swiss dots and shell borders and create fondant cutouts using an assortment of cookie cutters. As a final touch kids take home their masterpieces in a bakery box. Themed cakes are Halloween / Fall & December / Holidays
Class meets on Saturday, Oct. 30th & Dec. 4th. Class time is 1:00pm-2:30pm. Pre-registration and a $5.00 non-refundable deposit are required. Children are required to bring in a small rolling pin and apron. Per class fee is $10.00/members and $13.00/non-members. Class limited to 10 children per class.

Attention Scout Leaders!!
The museum offers Daisy, Brownie, and Junior programs, as well as Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs. Troops must be pre-registered by phone and mail in a $50 deposit to secure troop placement (deposits are non-refundable). The fee is $8.00 per child (no cost for adult chaperones).
